“A book with an unexpected ending.”
Summary
The book begins with Sarah, the main character. You follow her in this story with her friends Fee, Jamie and Alyssa. The girls often meet on Friday evenings to have a girls night with a sleepover. But this Friday evening is very strange: there is a strange man outside their door, a window in the house is broken and all the doors were ajar. A moment later one of the girls is killed. Who is the murderer? Will the murderer come back? Or is there something else going on?
Review
I love Mel Wallis de Vries her books. I’ve been reading them since I was ten years old. After you’ve read all of her books, you already kind of know what to expect from them. However, I think this book is the most surprising off all the books I have read.
In this book Mel Wallis de Vries her writing style is still the same as always. The book began with a post brake. You will also find these more throughout the story. This gives you more and more information to get closer to the murderer in this story. The news items also add different twist to the story.
While I was reading the last pages, I was in shock. The story ends with an extremely large and unexpected plot twist.
The thing I liked the least about this book is that it’s for a slightly younger audience. In the book, the characters are my age and I prefer reading books with people who are somewhat older. I also was a little annoyed by Sarah, because she was quite the follower.
Conclusion
A very mysterious book with a huge plot twist in the end. I love the news items, they give a different twist to the story. I would recommend this book if you like thrillers and murder stories.
