In the third and final book in the Grisha verse, Alina and her friends have ended up at the Apparat, from which she had to accept his help against her own will. Alina wants to escape from the Apparat and look for the Firebird, the third amplifier. Together with Mal and their friends, they go and search for the third and last amplifier and the lost prince, which they are not even sure if he is still alive. In this part, Alina will have to forge new alliances and set aside old rivals to search for the Firebird. But while Alina is on the road, she discovers something that will change the relationship between her and the Darkling. Killing the Firebird appears to be the only thing that can save Ravka from the Darkling’s evil plan.

In Siege and Storm, we follow Alina, just like in Shadow & Bone. She fled with Mal to escape the Darkling. They try to start a new life in another country. Alina must hide her identity in order to not to be found by the Darkling. With the help of an unknown freebooter, they manage to return to Ravka. Alina is determined to do everything she can to fight her enemy. But after using her powerful powers, Alina falls further into the Darkling’s dangerous game.

Alina Starkov is an orphan who grew up together with her best friend Mal. This story takes place in Ravka, which is divided by great darkness and volcras, some sort of monsters, that split the land in two. The Grisha are people with certain powers, such as the power of fire. They are created and are taught their powers. The Grisha are led by the Darkling. When Alina stands in front of the Shadow Fold and sees her best friend Mal being attacked by the deadly volcra, a power arises in Alina that she never knew she had. She is sent to the kingdom with the other Grisha and comes into contact with the Darkling.
