‘A great beginning of the series’.

Summary

After the death of Katy’s father, she moves to West Virginia with her mother. Katy is not thrilled about this, but she decides to make the best of it. She calls on the neighbours and meets Daemon and Dee. Daemon is very aloof and doesn’t seem to be impressed by her. With Dee, on the other hand, friendship comes easily. The more time Katy spends with her new friends, the more unusual things she discovers.

Review

I don’t really know what to think of this book. The book started off really slow, which irritated me a little. Also, the storyline took such a long time to develop. This, for me, resulted in kind of a reading-slump. I just couldn’t get invested in the story.

However, this book does contains something that makes you want to keep on reading. This book seems to resemble the Twilight-series, with a good-looking boy who is a little bit mean, not forgetting some strange occurrences in the area. You know what I mean?

Despite all this, I am still looking forward to reading the following books, though they are not on the top of my TBR-list.

Conclusion

Recommended read for Twilight fans. You have to warm up to the story at first, but once you get used to it, you’ll probably enjoy it.
