UNpregnant

‘Super funny story about friendship, adulthood and abortion: I’m here for it.’

Summary

Victoria, your typical valedictorian high-school girl has it all: nice friends, a good-looking and popular boyfriend and a scholarship in the pocket. But finding out she’s pregnant has messed everything up. Getting an abortion to keep the future she had always envisaged would mean she’d have to drive more than 900 miles to New Mexico. But even that won’t stop Veronica. She already found the perfect alibi to be away for three days, and money also won’t be a problem. The only thing is.. Veronica needs a ride. Not knowing who else to turn to, she asks her ex-best friend Bailey to come with her. Bailey accepting to go with her was only the beginning of a series of very unfortunate events.

Review

Oh. My. God. I enjoyed this book so much! I often found myself grinning, or just straight up laughing at everything that happened in this book. It was all so highly unlikely, but also so enjoyable! Frankly, I’m still processing everything that happened.

The characters in this book are either very stereotypical or super unpredictable. And man, I lost count of how many new characters those two girls met! Luckily, this didn’t affect the story negatively. On the contrary, it was really enjoyable to read about all those different encounters.

So, all in all, I think I genuinely liked this book. The only downside for me was that it was hard to keep up with the passing of time. I finished this book in less than two days, but I still didn’t comprehend that almost everything described in this book happened over a time span of two and a half days. Nevertheless, it was a real treat to read.

Conclusion

A super enjoyable book with a lot of laugh-out-loud moments. I often found myself grinning and smirking at the pages, or else I was intensely reading what was going to happen next. One hell of a rollercoaster! Would recommend it to everyone feeling like they need a laugh.
